This needs to be correct as the collar will be made especially for you dog's neck size, therefore it can't be adjusted. I will add additional room when making the collar, which is usually 1.5 inches, so that its a comfortable fit.

The rope can be cleaned by simply soaking it in warm water, the dirt should start to lift after 10 mins. You may need to add a mild washing detergent if it's stubborn dirt.
If you have opted for brass hardware, the hardware will oxidize after a few months. If you prefer the polished golden look, the hardware can be cleaned using either lemon and baking soda or some brass cleaner called 'brasso'.
